What an honor to help these two beautiful people solidify their already strong bond through marriage. A fairytale wedding indeed. She from Saratoga Springs, NY and he from South Africa, Haley and Max had never-ending smiles and kindness for each other and for everyone they came in contact with. Their love for each other shined far and wide onto all who took part, and I was blessed to be asked to be one of those people.
The first time we zoomed for their "Kick-off" portion of their package, my heart was already swelling. Max has the most adorable accent and Haley had a smile from ear to ear talking about their hopes, dreams and visions for their wedding day. Mind you, this was September of 2020... remember those days? We thought COVID-19 would be ending any minute. Their FIRST planned wedding date was set for July 9, 2021 to take place in Saratoga Springs, NY... Alas, with vaccinations still sparse and many rules implemented for large gatherings, they decided to postpone to June 11, 2022. Since their gathering couldn't have been more amazing, I guess their decision was the right one!
They had settled on having their nuptials at The Hall of Springs in Spa State Park. With it's grand ballroom feel and immense columns Max was so inspired! He and Haley decided to have a "Roman" theme! And so we did!
Table decor consisted of pillar candles atop white washed pedestals, Roman busts, ivory florals with green ivy and eucalyptus, gold accents... and tables named after Roman gods and goddesses! A mix of higher and lower tablescapes. The glass chargers we chose had a golden bead edge. How much fun we had designing this together!
Mazzone Catering created a personalized menu and custom cake which were all delectable. After dinner, Funk Evolution's 9-person band kept everyone moving all night long. All the while, Jason Hupe Photography and his team captured it all. (By the way, all photo creds go to him!)
The energy, the love, the happiness... one cannot truly explain. I couldn't be happier for these two beautiful souls and their families. Here are some other touching moments that made me well up with tears of love.
